Priority 1: Implement a formal mentoring program for nursing leaders by July 2017.
Priority 2: Influence practice environments and models of care that drive safe, quality care across the evolving healthcare continuum of care.
Priority 3: Achieve organizational standardization across national, state and districts.
Priority 4: Support nursing leadership research by establishing a work group/council to identify research priorities and develop a funding model to sustain a research focus by 2017.
Priority 5: Increase diversity (race, age, gender, areas of practice, etc.) in IONE.
